We still get a little bit of the "buried views" but not quite so much. The victim is made to look like a casualty of the Zodiac Killer. The plot and the buildup was so so good and the way the characters intersected and the way every story and person had another deeper layer of darkness has very interesting. Baldacci is one of my favorite authors. I guess doing a recurring thing as a hobby can seem pointless. The reveal in the end wherein the killer is ........... was a bit expected if not completely surprising. In addition there were several tangents/red herrings that had been taken/thrown out but never resolved that it left me a bit frustrated at the end. Each chapter brought more questions without any clues or answers.
